Apple’s latest operating system update, denominated the “Golden Master” or iOS 9, is going to be released in approximately one month.
The most significant feature that comes along with the iOS 9 is one that allows Apple users to multitask using the iPad Air. To be more precise, multitasking with the iOS 9 refers to allowing users to toggle with information between two applications on the screen at the same time. A previous version of the feature had been available on the device, by double tapping the home option to switch between two applications.
So, now this user-friendly enhancement will be very useful for presentations or for anytime you would need to switch between apps to improve productivity. In accordance to this, the Apple iOS 9 will come with a faster, more efficient way of the “double tap home key” option mentioned before.
This faster option comes with yet another update, concerning your personal data security. This means that in order to unlock your Apple device, you will need a six-digit password, which was previously a four-digit one. You can either use the code or your touch ID to unlock it. It seems that nowadays it will be fairly difficult for “uninvited guests” to hack into your device for whatever reason.
Over and above of the new app for iOS, Apple intends on releasing a new Mac OS update as well, with the denomination Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11. It’s still in the beta phase, but it will be able to begin to deal with a lot of issues that the iOS 8 and the Mac OX X Yosemite might encounter.
Minor malfunctions of the beta update for computers and iOS will be dealt with before releasing the apps for the general public.
It seems Apple is a keen “architect” regarding its products and updates, in their successful attempt of enabling their operating systems run smoothly across all their gadgets and platforms.
Moreover, it seems that the new variant of the iPhone will be announced on September 9th.
All in all, students will be able to benefit from the apps available on iOS and Macs, including Duolingo, helping them with their language studies, Google Earth for iOS and Android, regarding improving their geography skills, perhaps, Khan Academy for browsing the library of approximately 6,000 videos etc.
It would seem that an Apple device nowadays can be fairly useful to those who intend to own it, or already have one.
