On Friday, a Dallas jury found 52-year-old Aracely Meza, a former pastor, guilty of felony injury to a child causing serious bodily injury. The Dallas pastor subjected a small boy to a demon cleansing ritual, being convinced that the child’s boy hosted a supernatural entity, resulting in his death.
Dallas Pastor Denied the Toddler Food for Three Weeks
According to the court documents, the tragedy of Benjamin Aparicio, an Oregon toddler, began early this year, when his deeply religious parents contacted Aracely Meza, a Dallas pastor. Aparicio’s family told Meza that their son is behaving in an odd manner and have nowhere to turn to.
The prosecution revealed that the Dallas pastor came into the family’s house and, after taking a look at the boy, she blatantly told the family that he is possessed by a demonic force and needs an exorcism.
Aparicio’s family did not contest Meza’s assessment and agreed with the woman performing the demon cleansing ritual. According to the authorities, the Dallas pastor’s exorcism ritual consisted mostly of fasting.
As a result, for more than three weeks, Meza and the boy’s family denied the toddler food, keeping him on water. Shocking enough, Meza’s ‘demon cleansing ritual’ was captured on tape and the videos were used in courts to support the prosecutors’ case.
One of these videos depicts Meza keeping the toddler with his head upside down and spanking him as to compel the evil entity to leave his body. Weakened by the ritual, the boy couldn’t even keep his head up and, in the end, he just collapsed on the floor.
The last video presented in court depicted the Dallas pastor allegedly performing a ‘resurrection ritual,’ holding the boy’s body in her hands and shaking it around.
For her deeds, Meza was sentenced to 99 years in jail. The authorities declared that the boy’s family, who recently fled to Mexico, might also face charges.
