ClearSky Data now has an exciting strategy to fix the information storage price and speed issue. This week, it brought $27 million to continue its efforts to reach that daring objective. The company presented earlier in the summer a complex plan to provide its clients a multi-tier, completely handled, multiple data-management service.
In practice, it includes equipment that is set up in the data center and hosts the company’s most essential hot data. The second level of data storage is saved at a co-location service located at around 100 miles from a customer’s house and manages the relatively essential information and lastly the Amazon S3 service is reserved for data that the client does not need very often or additional data.
The strategy is that people can reduce these costs by circulating the information across these levels, with the details that clients require the most close to them and with the highest speed. The key is the program and methods that handle all these operations and transfer the information between various levels instantly based on utilization styles, plan and client specifications.
The organization also manages other information projects, such as de-duplication, data back-up or disaster restoration. There is a remarkable industry opportunity for data storage services, but ClearSky’s officials have been capable to create an innovative solution that fixes a big issue for large amounts of information that has to be saved and accessed at anytime and from anywhere.
This is not simple to do and there is a number of storage problems and algorithmic operations that is included in what they have already built. It is not easy for new and smaller companies to gather the interest of customers, but the idea that conventional storage leaders are instantly favored represent a problem for those who have better solutions, but lack the name and money needed to put them into practice.
ClearSky’s representatives are going into the more complex part of the industry and organizations that want to buy ideas from more popular storage providers are not actually the focus of their activity. They consider their company as quite different from regular storage space providers like Pure Storage, a firm that recently became mainstream for the bulk of clients.
That is because the majority of ClearSky’s ideas takes clients out of their data provisioning and controlling problems and simply leaves all hard work into the hands of the organization.
