A 35-year-old woman from Colombia will face additional charges stemming from a gun-related incident that occurred in October 2017. According to the authorities, last year, the accused shot her estranged husband in the testicles and assaulted his brother over an AC unit.
Colombia County Woman Refused to Relinquish AC Unit to Husband
Last year, around October, Colombia County authorities arrested 35-year-old Kymberly Dunn following an armed dispute with her estranged husband.
According to the police report, Kimberly was in the process of divorcing her husband when the incident took place. The authorities determined that several days before the shooting, Kimberly posted an ad for a used AC unit on her Facebook page.
Apparently, the AC unit belonged to Dunn’s husband. On the day of the incident, Mr. Dunn drove to his estranged wife’s home to reclaim the AC unit. He was accompanied by his brother.
Upon entering the woman’s house and subsequently informing her of his intention, Kimberly told them that the AC unit belongs to her and would not give it away. Moreover, to stop Dunn and his brother from taking the machine, the Colombia County woman sat on it and refused to move.
Frustrated by the woman’s obstinance, Dunn’s husband attempted to remove Kimberly by force.
That’s when things blew out of proportion. Dunn allegedly took out a pink stun gun and tasered her husband who, in turn, hit her in the head. Dunn then grabbed a gun and shot her husband. The man was hit in the testicles.
After seeing his brother wounded, the other man took the gun away from the Colombia County woman and chocked her.
During questioning, Kimberly Dunn declared that she didn’t mean to shoot her estranged husband in the groin, just to scare him.
