Colorado Woman Claims She Didn’t Know that She Was Pregnant
On Tuesday, the Colorado authorities arrested 23-year-old Camille Wasinger-Konrad and charged her with first-degree murder.
Following a complaint received on the 2nd of January, the Colorado authorities were summoned to a Castle Rock house. The caller told the 911 dispatcher that she found a newborn baby on her patio.
Detectives reveal that the newborn appeared to have been tossed over the fence, knocked over a chair, and landed on the patio. The investigation led to a house owned by a couple who rented a room to Wasinger-Konrad.
When first approached by the law enforcement agents, the woman became apprehensive but later agreed to talk to Adam Moorman, one of the detectives in charge of the investigation.
Moorman asked the Colorado woman if the baby was hers. At first, the woman refused to comment, saying that she doesn’t want to get into trouble but later told Moorman the whole story.
A couple of weeks ago, Wasinger-Konrad emailed her company about a new work schedule on account of her pregnancy. During the night, the woman said that she began experiencing several stomach cramps and when she slid the blanket she realized that she gave birth.
The woman told Moorman that she did not know that she was pregnant. After giving birth, the woman covered the infant’s mouth with a rag to prevent him from screaming and went to the front yard. There she sat approximately 10 minutes with her newborn in hands.
Out of the blue, the woman simply tossed the infant over the neighbor’s fence. When confronted by the authorities, the Colorado woman replied that she didn’t want the infant and she just got rid of it.
