Generali, an Italian insurance company, is among those few companies that are more than just blessed in this third quarter of the fiscal year. What makes them blessed is the fact that they were able to report much better operating profits. Generali reported a better result than the expected average net profit for the first nine months of the year. This just means that the year of 2014 is truly the year of Generali.
According to Generali, which is the third largest insurance company in Europe based on their market share, their operating profit increased to 3.677 billion euros. It is above consensus forecast of 3.618 billion euros that was given by the analyst.
According to Alberto Minali, who is the Chief Financial Officer of Generali, the group is doing all their best in order to fulfill their strategic plan. He also stated how they expect a better operating result for this year compared to last year.
The second quarter of the fiscal year helped Generali a lot when it comes to boosting the company’s capital base. It is all thanks to the fact that the second year was the mark of the end of the intense phase of the Generali’s disposals.
