After the Lamborghini Aventador SV, the Italian manufacturer of luxury sports cars introduces on the market the Roadster version – Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster. This particular model was revealed and showcased at Pebble Beach and Monterey Car Week.
Lamborghini’s latest model gets its power from the same 6.5 liter V12, which sends 740 horsepower and 509 pound feet of torque through a 7 speed ISR automated manual transmission. The power goes to all four wheels. Moreover, the 12-cylinder engine is accompanied by a 7 speed transmission feature.
The weight has increased by approximately 110 pounds. The open-air version of the Aventador LP-750-4 SV can reach a top speed of more than 217 mph, achieving it in 2.9 seconds.
The roof of this particular luxurious car is made up of 2 carbon fiber panels, with each wing less than 13 pounds. Lamborghini says that they can easily be removed and refitted, through a quick release system.
The rear window is fitted to the Roadster model, and can be controlled by the driver to decrease wind noise.
Only 500 of these Superveloce Roadsters will be available for sale in the spring of 2016. Those who can afford one will probably be very pleased with it. The chromatics will include five bodywork colors made available to Lamborghini enthusiasts. Buyers can appeal to a wide array of personalization options, or they can permit Lamborghini to resolve their detail-oriented inquiries.
Stephan Winkelmann, Lamborghini’s president, said that the Superveloce Roadster would be the most sports-oriented, fastest and purest series Lamborghini would ever release. He continued by saying that the Roadster variant aimed at their committed clients is prone to satisfy an impeccable open-air driving experience.
The SV is said to be able to reach the 217 mph top speed at ease, with the roof firmly in its place, in comparison to the previous Lamboeghini Murcielago Roadster, for instance, which had an insubstantial cloth top, not recommended for use regarding speed ranges above 100 mph.
Furthermore, this particular Superveloce variant is enhanced with a very large rear wing, joining with an integrated front and rear splitter designed to increase its stability from the aerodynamic point of view.
Concerning its price, this Superveloce Aventador will be made available for over half a million dollars, whereas Winkelmann said it already arose the interest of Lamborghini fans.
