Texas Man Was ‘Annoyed’ By Ex-Girlfriend’s Infant, Authorities Declared
On Saturday, a Texas jury sentenced 24-year-old Joshua Beard to life in prison for the murder of an 18-month-old infant. The jury will also move forward to sentence 20-year-old Alexis Botello, Beard’s former girlfriend and accomplice.
According to court documents, in July 2014, Beard shared the same home with Botello and Tylea, the woman’s 18-month-old daughter from a previous marriage.
Far from being the perfect step-father, Beard brutalized Tylea on more than one occasion. During her police interview, Botello told the detectives that her boyfriend was irritated by Tylea’s crying, and not a day would go by without him hitting her.
However, on the day of Tylea’s mother, the Texas man took his beatings to the next level. Several hear-breaking confessions revealed that the monster hit the infant, grabbed her by the feet, and threw her across the room.
According to Botello’s testimony, the infant hit the side of a mattress before hitting the floor. Unfortunately, the Texas man did not stop there. While the child was still on the bedroom’s floor, the assailant stomped on the infant’s head and body until she could no longer breath.
Botello told the detectives that they’ve tried performing CPR but to no avail. Fearing the cops, the couple placed the infant’s body inside a car’s trunk, drove to a remote location, and buried her under a bridge. The baby’s body was found after a missing child’s report was filed by Botello’s relatives.
