The release of the highly expected Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is near and the company Capcom revealed some information regarding the game. Among others, players can now find out how much they will take in order to complete the game.
In a conference with GamingBolt, the producer of Resident Evil Masachika Kawata talked more about the upcoming game. He revealed what the horror survival game is preparing for the enthusiastic players. According to Kawata, the new game moved away from the more action oriented antics particular to the previous games. However, there will be plenty of content, since users should expect somewhere around 15 hours of gameplay. Of course, this may differ player to player, depending on their style of playing and gaming skills.
Also, the new game is bound to emphasize its horror side. Therefore, players should expect a spine-chilling experience that will keep them up at night. However, the most important thing is that they should have fun, so the game offers many delicious details that will sweeten up the gaming experience.
For the delight of players, the main character will interact more with others, for example the Baker family. They will be able to build up complex portraits of each character in the game, especially since each of them is quite unique and has a different personality. The game now includes dialogues, too. It is meant to provide a more realistic experience and make the player feel like he is part of the game universe.
Will this game be related to previous editions of Resident Evil? When asked if any familiar faces are about to appear in the new game, Kawata gave quite of a cryptic response. I guess we have to wait and see.
The action of the new game takes place four years after that in Resident Evil 6. The protagonist is a newcomer, Ethan Winters, and he interacts with the apparently immortal Baker family when he searches their plantation in order to find his missing wife, Mia. The action takes place in Dulvey, Louisiana. During his expedition, he is pursued by the Bakers and has to solve some classic Resident Evil-style riddles.
The release will take place on January 24th and the game will be available for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
