The recent study by the scientists to find evidence of alien life in 100,000 galaxies has all gone in vain as they couldn’t find single evidence which can confirm the evidence of extraterrestrial life.
A British mathematician and theoretical physicist, Freeman Dyson in the 60’s suggested that there exists an advanced extraterrestrial civilization and they may be using the light from the galaxies and they will be emitting by mid-infrared radiation.
At that time there was no instrument which can measure the radiation emitted by distant objects but the NASA WISE observatory has made it possible t measure those radiation.
Scientists estimate that there are nearly one billion observable galaxies in the universe and the scientist have only studied 100,000 galaxies in the universe which accounts for only tiny part of the entire galaxy population in the universe. It is only 0.01 percent.
The scientists were looking for advanced civilization of aliens that have been developed over the billion years.
“The idea behind our research is that, if an entire galaxy had been colonized by an advanced spacefaring civilization, the energy produced by that civilization’s technology would be detectable in mid-infrared wavelengths – exactly the radiation that the WISE satellite was designed to detect for other astronomical purposes,” said Jason T. Wright, an assistant professor at Penn State University’s center for Exoplanets and Habitable Worlds.
During the research scientist could discover few mysterious phenomenon in the galaxies observed.
Wright said, “Whether a super-advanced spacefaring civilization makes use of the energy from the stars of the galaxy to power communication, space flight, and computer, basic thermodynamic mechanism tells us that this particular energy should be brought away in the form of heat under the mid-infrared wavelengths.”
The study was published in the Astronomical journal under the heading Glimpsing Heat from Alien Technologies or GHAT.
