Plainridge Park Casino Janitor Said That Woman Told Her That She Didn’t Clean a Bathroom
On Tuesday, Massachusetts State Police Gaming Enforcement Unit arrested 23-year-old Alexandria Martel, an Attleboro resident.
Based on the police report, Ms. Martel is suspect of deliberately pouring chemical cleaner into her co-worker’s water cups to send them home.
The authorities were alerted that day by one woman who noticed that her drink had an odd taste. Upon reviewing the security tapes, the police officers discovered that Martel was the last person seen in the area before the woman called the police.
According to the authorities, Martel, who’s working as a janitor at the Plainridge Park Casino, saw that two of co-workers left their water cups inside a storage room and went inside.
The security footage shows the woman lifting something from beneath the table and pouring a clear liquid into both cups.
During questioning, the woman told the arresting officers that the reason she chose to do what she did is that she’s lately been having trouble with some of her co-workers.
When the authorities asked her to elaborate, the Plainridge Park Casino janitor told them that a woman told her that she didn’t do a good job cleaning her bathroom. Martel also said that she’s mad because her co-workers never invite her to meals.
When the arresting officer asked her about the consequences of her actions, the woman said that she poured a small enough amount to make them feel nauseous, not to kill them.
