The schizophrenia patient who baked her dog believed that the canine hosted the spirit of her former boyfriend.
On Tuesday, the Oregon authorities arrested a 28-year-old schizophrenia patient and charged her with extreme animal abuse. According to the woman’s arrest warrant, while alone at home, she placed her 7-year-old Chihuahua dog inside the over and baked the animal without showing any signs of remorse.
Oregon Schizophrenia Patient Bounced from Hospital to Hospital, Sister Claims
Heather Lessard, who identified herself as the sister of Noelle Georgia Moor, the woman who recently killed her 7-year-old Chihuahua dog, declared that her sister’s tale was a sad one.
According to the woman’s accounts, Moor has been struggling with schizophrenia for the past several years. More than that, Lessard noted that, on several occasions, Moor requested professional help but was turned down by several hospitals who, allegedly, kicked her out the front door.
Lessard reveals that her sister recently came out of an abusive relationship with a man that traumatized her both physical and mental. The authorities could neither confirm nor deny the woman’s claims as no complaints were filed by the schizophrenia patient or any of her relatives.
Following her breakup, the woman’s condition began to deteriorate, the only thing keeping her from having a complete breakdown was Bolt, Moor’s 7-year-old Chihuahua.
However, on Tuesday, the woman decided to end the poor dog’s life by using probably the cruelest method in existence – by baking him alive. When the authorities arrived at Moor’s home, a law enforcement agent noted that the smell of burnt flesh was still dangling in the air even though the remains of the dog were removed from the oven.
Conclusion
During her police interview, the schizophrenia patient declared that she decided to end Bolt’s life because she believed that her abusive boyfriend’s spirit had taken refuge inside the dog.
Despite being indicted with extreme animal cruelty, the woman has been sent to a psychiatric facility to determine if she’s fit to stand trial.
