They also discovered that spicy chili pepper was tied to reduced mortality.
Everybody is looking for a way to live longer and lead a healthy life. New studies show that eating spicy chili pepper on a regular basis might help you live longer. It was shown that those who eat chili pepper have a lower rate of mortality than those who don’t.
This is especially for deaths that are caused by stroke and heart diseases. A team of researchers from Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont observed that people who consume these types of peppers might live longer than those who don’t.
In order to conduct this research the team of researchers analyzed data from more than 16,000 Americans. The researchers looked at data from the National Health and Nutritional Examination Survey.
The researchers discovered that those who eat spicy chili pepper had 13% reduced mortality risk from stroke and heart attack than those who don’t eat peppers regularly. Heart diseases and stroke are one of the top 10 leading causes of death in the US.
This research also corroborated with another research from 2015. This other study was made by researchers from China. They also discovered that spicy chili pepper was tied to reduce mortality. Both of these studies discovered that eating this vegetable is great for the body and it helps people live longer.
These spicy vegetables are great for some other treatments too. Despite this, the researchers mentioned that they were not able to find a real connection between the reduced mortality risk and chili peppers.
One of the reasons for which this type of peppers might help people is a substance that is found in the peppers. The name of the substance is capsaicin and it is the one that makes these peppers spicy. This substance is also known for helping people reduce bad cholesterol.
Because it reduces the levels of bad cholesterol it might be the reason for which is reduces the chances of developing heart diseases. This is because bad cholesterol is the one that can cause heart diseases and stroke.
Since spicy chili pepper is responsible for lowering the levels of bad cholesterol and bad cholesterol is responsible for heart diseases this might be the link that was missing.
What is your opinion about this study? Do you think that spicy peppers can help you?
