Hillary Clinton kickstarts poll battle with economic inequality agenda

Kicking off her long-anticipated second run for the White House, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Sunday finally made the official announcement that she will fight the 2016 presidential election for a level playing field for those who are still recovering from tough economic times.

Clinton began her 2016 presidential bid as a commanding front runner for the Democratic Party.

Clinton, who is one of the popular Democratic face, made an excellent entry to the fray with a flurry of video, social media and email announcements, indicating that she is well-prepared this time and had absorbed all the lessons learnt in the past from her painful loss in 2008.

Recalling her loss in the Democratic nominating battle to Barack Obama in 2008, Clinton said that she will not be taking anything for granted this time.

The former Secretary of State had received severe criticism for conveying a sense of entitlement and arrogance during her poll campaigning. She was also heavily condemned for being out of touch with the progressive wing of the party. Moreover, these were seen as the main reasons for her defeat in 2008.

But this time, Clinton seems to be in full electrified mode in her campaign launch video. In the video, she was portrayed as a warmer and more empathetic political figure.

Clinton’s campaign will be based on the agenda of economic inequality.

Clinton has been one of the most prominent political figures in the US as the wife of former American President Bill Clinton, a US senator and the Secretary of State.
