Falocn 9 has successfully launched from the ejection seat and the dragon capsule has delivered the cargo to International Space Station, but when it comes to the reusability of the rocket it has failed in this step.
The rocket looks as though it will land because it has returned to the Earth after it has ejected dragon capsule and was hitting at the target but unfortunately it has hit very hard.
Musk has given the detailed explanation for the failure of the falcon 9 rocket on Tuesday.
Musk in a tweet said, “Cause of challenging rocket touchdown supported as due to slower than anticipated throttle valve answer.”
If the rocket survived then it would have been reused in the June’s cargo supply mission to ISS.
This was their third attempt for successful landing but failed, the first attempt was in January when it has hit the stage askew and out of control.
The second attempt has a similar fate where it showed improvement from the first attempt but not enough to make a landing.
Even though the landing failed with the near miss on touchdown, the other part of the mission of supplying cargo to ISS was successful as intended, and it has reached ISS.
SapceX says that the reuse of the rocket in the future like the return of the Falcon 9 rocket to the Earth and landing on the target would enable the organization to slash the price of the future assignment and this is very significant for them.
SpaceX says that a reusable rocket would be a breakthrough for then as it would significantly decrease the expense of space access.
This would decrease the expense by hundredfold says SpaceX.
It is believed that the next effort of Falcon 9 rocket landing will be on terra firma, instead of the sea, but Musk didn’t address that in his tweet.
Musk in his tweet said a video demonstrating the returning a rocket to Earth is potential, despite it seeming “tall and tippy.”
