Amazon is hiring for its amazing PC game

June 7, 2015 By Dave Smith Leave a Comment

game-developersAmazon Game Studios is now developing ambitious new video games not just to stream them but to make them for the personal computer or PC which employs the latest technology.

Amazon wants everyone to know that they are hiring, though for exactly what, no one is sure. All we know is that it’s based in Seattle, WA.

In a sponsored job posting that is published in Gamasutra, Amazon Game Studios implores those interested in being the tip of the spear in the game design and technology to contact them, because the company is currently looking for individuals who are driven to make the best games the gaming industry has ever produced or seen.

The Amazon’s team is already consisting of former designers and developers who have worked on hit titles including World of Warcraft, Portal, BioShock, Halo, Half Life, Middle-earth: Shadows of Mordor and many more.

The goal of the company is to employ latest technology such as Twitch and the AWS cloud, to radically evolve gameplay.

The company believes that the games have just begun to scratch the surface in what the company refers to as their power to unite players.

In August, 2014, the company Amazon has acquired Twitch for $970 million in an all-cash deal which let the gaming industry know that the e-commerce giant is not only serious about gaming, but also willing to invest quite seriously in it.

Twitch is integrated into the new PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One Console systems, has become the streaming platform of choice as it continues to stream billions of minutes of gameplay to millions of visitors.

Existing team members at Amazon Game Studios also include Far Cry 2 director Clint Hocking, Portal designer Kim Swift, and Left 4 Dead 2 project lead Tom Leonard.

There are 26 posts for different positions, should you be in the Seattle area and need an awesome job. You can find job postings here at GamaSutra- Amazon Jobs, and good luck.
