Snapchat has announced that it has cut-off all third party applications from accessing its data.
It has also released its first ever transparency report.
The cutting off third party access is for the privacy concern.
Steven Levy, Backchannel said that the company was trying to restrict the access of the third party to use its data and finally it is done and now no third party application to use its data.
This does not allow Windows phone users to use a third party application to use Snapchat.
Tim Sehn said that the company needed to do this to assure all its users that their data is protected.
The move comes as a counteract to the last years mishap where the hackers have developed some applications which supported Snapchat features and leaking thousands of private photos of its users.
The report releases all the requests detail for data from the governments around the world.
Snapchat said that it will be releasing transparency report bi-annually.
