On Wednesday three deadly tornadoes swept through Arkansas and Oklahoma.
The tornado has killed one person and several were injured.
One of the officers said, rain, lightning and winds were hampering rescue operations.
The spokesman of the officer said, the tornado moving through the Tulsa suburb of Sand Spring has damaged 60 buildings.
They also said that the conditions in the region were deplorable.
The Sand spring tornado has damaged a gymnastic studio that had 60 people inside, but no one suffered injuries.
Mobile homes were destroyed and one person in a mobile home park was killed.
At least seven other people were taken to the hospital, no one suffered severe injuries but one of them was in critical condition, Emergency Medical Services Authority said.
Another tornado was spotted in Moore, Oklahoma.
This tornado has caused severe damage to buildings, cars and trucks.
Schools were shut down on Thursday.
Some of the schools top roof was blown off by the tornado.
Third tornado hit at northwest Arkansas and large hail fell across the region.
The Oklahoma City was struck by a tornado in 2013 that killed 24 people and injured more than 300.
