Blinds to Go is recalling 200,000 window shades because of some defect.
Windows shades as the name implies to make a room darker, they are used in nursery rooms generally where the kids can sleep when the room gets darker and it also filters the sun. If the window shade is too close to the crib then there is high chance of strangulation.
They are recalling because the shade’s chain can slip of the holding device and posing a threat of strangulation for nursery children.
The shades have holding device to the chord that is a plastic hook. The cord or the chain loop of the shade clips into the device. The hook is screwed to the side of the window before installation.
There are no injuries reported.
Consumers can order a free retro fit kit that includes a new holding device along with the instructions to replace the recalled part. They can also visit local showroom for the purpose.
