Tennessee Man Cries During Arrest, Says He Does Not Deserve Mercy
Jordan Corter, an 18-year-old Arlington resident, was arrested after a witness told the police that he attempted to penetrate a woman without her consent.
According to the police report, on Sunday evening, Corter went to his best friend’s house for a sleepover. At around 2:30 a.m., the Tennessee man left the bedroom he was sharing with his pal and went to his mother’s sleeping.
Allegedly, around that hour, the suspect knocked on the woman’s door. The man’s mother, whose identity has not been disclosed, cracked open the door to see who was outside.
The Tennessee man then kicked open the door and shoved the woman on the bed. Authorities declared that the 18-year-old suspect placed his hand in the woman’s underwear but did not penetrate her.
Corter’s victim managed to free herself by kicking her assaulted in the groin. After distracting him, the woman grabbed a gun from the nightstand and told him to leave her house.
When Corter left, the woman called the authorities to report him. On Tuesday, Arlington officers arrested Corter and charged him with attempted rape and sexual battery.
According to a police spokesperson, the suspect began to cry after the arresting officers handcuffed him. He also told the police that what he did is inexcusable and that he does not deserve any mercy.
Later that day, the Tennessee man was processed and taken to the Shelby County Jail. A magistrate set his bond bail at $30,000.
