The Texas man used a similar plastic tie as part of the kinky sex game with his victim.
On Monday, a Texas jury sentenced 31-year-old Charles Dean Bryant to life in prison for murdering and dismembering Jacqueline Vandagriff’s body in September 2016. The man who claimed the victim died during what his lawyer described as kinky sex was also ordered to serve an additional 20-year sentence for tampering with evidence.
Texas Man Chops Up Body and Steals Heart After Kinky Sex
After a 3-hour-long deliberation, a Texas jury returned the verdict in Jacqueline Vandagriff’s case. Charles Dean Bryant, the man who claimed that he tried to dispose of Vandagriff’s body after kinky sex, will spend the rest of his days behind bars.
Bryant’s defense attorney wanted to cut his client a 20-year sentence deal, but the prosecutors managed to tear down his defense, proving that Bryan is a monster who deliberately killed and dismembered Vandagriff’s body.
The court document proves that on the night of the woman’s murder, Bryant met the woman in a Denton bar where they had a couple of drink before leaving for another establishment.
After that, Vandagriff went to Bryant’s house where they’ve allegedly had consensual kinky sex which involved erotic asphyxiation. Based on the police investigation, Bryan wrapped a plastic cord around the woman’s neck as part of their sex game.
However, the woman passed away shortly after that. While Glynis McGinty, Bryant’s lawyer claims that his client panicked and tried to dispose of the body, the prosecution paints an entirely different scene.
At approximately 4 in the morning, Bryant can be seen leaving a Denton Walmart with a shovel in his hands. Based on the accused testimony, he tried digging a hole in his backyard to bury the woman’s body, but the earth was too hard.
The prosecution shows that Bryant chocked Vandagriff, dismembered her body, and cut out her heart before throwing the body parts in a kiddie pool and setting them ablaze.
