Household chores are often tedious and boring. However, there are very effective methods to save time and money, like the one we present today to make your windows sparkle with cleanliness.
Cleaning windows is one of the laziest household chores. In addition to being boring and tedious, the result often lasts only a short time, since it rains a few days later or the little ones in the house do what they want and plant their fingers and face against the glass, making all the effort in vain.
Nevertheless, it is a job that must be done, whether we like it or not. It is advisable to take advantage of slightly cloudy days, as this allows us to have a better view when cleaning without being dazzled if the day is sunny. In addition, sunny and windy days are not advisable to polish the windows at home, because they dry too quickly and can leave traces that are annoying to the eye.
As for the products to use, there are many and very cheap, without the need to invest large amounts of money in supermarket or drugstore window cleaners. In fact, many of these products are already available at home and are perfect for this task. A mixture of equal parts water and ammonia is very effective, or a mixture of water and alcohol is very good for removing fingerprints.
Vinegar: a great ally
But today we will focus on white vinegar, one of the great allies for seasoning our dishes, but also for cleaning the house, because it can degrease the kitchen, rinse stains on clothes or remove bad odors from the dishwasher or washing machine. Moreover, it is quite cheap.
But that's not all, because white vinegar is also distinguished by its acidity and its antibacterial, antiseptic and antifungal properties, which makes it an infallible product to eliminate mold, germs and bacteria that accumulate on glass.
Simply mix water and white vinegar in a spray bottle and shake well before cleaning windows. A few drops of lemon juice can be added to this mixture to give it a fresher smell. You can even add a few spoonfuls of baking soda to the mixture, as it is a great ally against stubborn dirt.
Vinegar is known for its antibacterial, antiseptic and antifungal properties.
Then use a cloth, a microfiber cloth or newspaper. However, to avoid leaving marks on the glass, it is necessary to wipe and dry it from top to bottom. For TV and computer windows, it is better to wet the cloth first rather than spray it on the surface.
