Michael Jordan believed that his lucky shorts were crucial to his success in basketball. It was a pair of shorts he wore under his jersey, which he nicknamed “every game shorts” because he was so fond of them. Even when he played for the Chicago Bulls in the NBA, Michael Jordan always wore these light blue shorts that he wore during his college years in North Carolina.
The superstition continues with the Nike Air Ship Every Game shoes
The images and videos of Michael Jordan wearing his lucky shorts under his jersey are legendary. That's why Nike has created a pair of shoes in tribute to those shorts. The Nike Air Ship Every Game is set to release this month.
The name of each colorway of these shoes is “Summit White / Dune Red – Team Red” . Although the colors are not the same as Jordan's shorts, the text “every game” is written in italics on the back of the shoe, as on the shorts. Cracked leathers dress the heel tab just as well as the Swoosh, while the base opts for a lightly furred suede.
The Nike Air Ship Every Game is available next week
The Nike Air Ship Every Game will be available at Nike stores and select retailers for $150. Jordan fans will be able to pay tribute to the legend by wearing these shoes designed to follow his superstition.
