The Imserso season started last July with the opening of the deadline for the presentation of applications for the 2024-2025 season.
Those who had already made one of these trips in previous years did not have to go through this procedure, since the Instituto de Mayores itself is the one who sends a document with the personal data and preferences of the applicants.. Only if they wish to make any changes or correct any data should applicants return the modification form that will be sent with this letter.
As confirmed by the Imserso, the letters for the people already accredited will start to be sent out from the end of this month of August and during the first fortnight of September.. As confirmed by the agency to Europa Press, the letters contain the new key number for each pensioner for the entire season, in addition to the day and type of trip assigned.
In addition, the letter includes details on the destinations, dates and prices of each trip in the program.
Points earned, the key to priority
When choosing a destination, the Imserso establishes a points system for which no all pensioners have preference to choose the desired place to spend a few days of vacation. For the assessment, the Imserso is based on criteria of age of the applicants, disability, economic situation, participation in the program in previous years or being a large family.
It is therefore that those who accumulate a greater number of these points have more options. to make the chosen trip or to choose their option. The rest have to adapt to the availability of the remaining seats.
Thus, the accreditations are divided among the preferred and non-preferred. The former can access to the trip reservation on the first day of marketing. of each zone and the second ones will do it from the following day onwards. Thus, the key to choosing a destination lies in the points obtained by each pensioner. The following is a breakdown of the Imserso criteria.
