The Top Gear crew is reuniting once again, to the delight of fans from all over the world, but it will not be for Top Gear and it will not be on BBC. Richard Hammond and James May are leaving BBC for good to join Jeremy Clarkson on Amanzon’s upcoming car show, that is expected to be a smashing hit, given all the restless fans who greatly miss the amazing car loving trio.
This year, Top Gear’s 22nd season aired on BBC, which makes it one of the most long lived series on television. Unfortunately, 2015 proved to be a very rocky year for the Top Gear crew, as James Clarkson’s collaboration with BBC was ended, due to an incident where “The Orangutan” allegedly physically attacked one of the show’s producers. Since this was just the latest incident on a very long list, this moment was a long time coming, at least from the producers’ standpoint.
Top Gear’s worldwide fan base was outraged all the same, as this is the exact behavior that Clarkson is known and loved for. They decided to stand by him and the asked for his contract to be prolonged,in spite of the unfortunate incident. The British television company did not comply however and the entire situation regarding Top Gear remained filled with uncertainty.
BBC rolled a massive amount of big names for Jeremy Clarkson’s replacement, but the fans were not ready to see Hammond and May driving across the world without Clarkson. Eventually, they chose TV presenter Chris Evans, and it seems that he is the only face of Top Gear at the moment, since Richard Hammond and James May couldn’t keep way and finally decided to leave BBC, just so that they can keep their team intact. The trio is known for sticking together though all sorts of hardships and therefore, their move was going to happen sooner rather than later, unless BBC accepted to bring Clarkson back on.
Naturally, the show’s fans absolutely thrilled to hear about their decision and are looking forward to seeing them again, on Amazon or any given company that is willing to produce a car show presented by the three. It seems that Top Gear’s exclusive producer has also decided to come along, so the upcoming show has all the chances to remain in line with the fan’s expectations.
The unnamed show is clearly on of the most anticipated shows of 2016, because there are millions and million of people who are extremely exited to see Top Gear’s leading men in the driver’s seat again.
“I feel like I’ve climbed out of a biplane and into a spaceship.”, said Jeremy Clarkson about the entire transition. And James May added that “We have become part of the new age of smart TV. Ironic, isn’t it?” in his well known black humor style.
This is most likely going to be an extremely fruitful collaboration for Amazon as well, as such a show could enable it to assert its presence on the television market. Therefore, they are extremely excited to begin the upcoming car show’s production and quite thrilled to host the Top Gear crew’s heartwarming reunion.
